David McClay of Duke University discusses his love of marine labs and of genetics, and why the sea urchin is an important model system, in this interview on The Node. A longtime faculty member in the ϲappEmbryology course, McClay received the 2016 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Society for Developmental Biology.
