Raymond Andrew Sjodin
With sadness we share the passing of ϲappSociety Emeritus member Raymond Andrew Sjodin who died on September 13, 2022. The ϲappflag will be lowered in his memory.
Dr. Sjodin was emeritus Chair of Biophysics at the University of Maryland where he performed fundamental research into the electrochemistry of nerve and muscle tissue. He and his family spent many summers at the MBL. Dr. Sjodin joined the ϲappCorporation in 1958 and was a Visiting Investigator in 1985 and 1986.
Dr. Sjodin is survived by his wife of 68 years, Marion, daughters Lisa Sjodin-Feldman and her husband Christian Frankenhauser, and Neva S. Wagner and her husband Jeff Wagner; and three grandchildren.
Services and interment are private.
