Two graduate students who met at the ϲappand became friends and colleagues have combined their expertise to publish their first paper together. of Cornell University and of University of Massachusetts-Amherst, alumni of the 2022 Summer Program in Neuroscience, Excellence and Success (SPINES), published “” in Frontiers in Cellular Neuroscience this week.
“We have different labs and different science backgrounds,” Mabry said. “Narciso's expertise is in building the next generation of cerebral organoids, and mine is the heart-brain axis and Parkinson's disease.” They thank the SPINES course for connecting them “through an incredible learning opportunity” in the paper's acknowledgements.
